Chunky challenge "AKE"

Today I made word cloud that shows the word "ake" in it. We first did this on a google presentation so we could fill out all the ake words we know, and some new ake words we don't know. After doing them we started on our simple sentences. We had Simple, compound and complex, from one normal sentence to something more interesting specific.   

Te Taio O Tamaki

Today some of the students from our school went to Te Oro, so we could have a look at some interesting learning from other schools in our cluster that was being shared today. When we went in the theatre and watched our school preform, I really thought that they were awesome, they were confident in both their speaking and acting. I really loved the Kapa Haka group, because they were amazing at singing the Maori songs. I really enjoyed seeing the other schools creative work, and especially liked how the dolphins had been made with aluminium netting to show what happens when they eat rubbish.

Food Tech

Today the year 7's and 8's went to tech, We all made the filling and next week we will do the pastry, Hopefully the pastry would be a success and that we would complete it quickly.

Math's DLO

Today I have created a maths DLO. I had to solve how much I could save in 7 days, my strategy I did was pretty hard to do but I manged to  solve the question by not asking anyone in the classroom.

Activitie group 3 Collage

Last week on Wednesday my activity group did a photo collage about the activities we did. It was really cool to do but it was quite challenging to find the right pictures to put on our DLO.

Kokako lodge brochure

Today I have created a Kokako lodge brochure, I had to put all of the activities we did on to the google draw and talk about the activity's. I had to make two google drawings so I could put my brochure together.

Futsal / Tennis

Today LS2 went to the tennis courts in Dunkirk. Our normal coach Martin was there and we had another coach for tennis, Nevi. Group A went first to play futsal with Martin, and group B went to play tennis with Nevi. We all started of with bouncing the ball with the tennis racket and then we bounced the ball on the tennis racket. Next we went into partners so we could play together like a normal tennis game. After 48 minuets of playing, group A went to tennis and group B went to futsal. We mostly had a normal game as we normally do at the end of our sessions at school but we went straight into teams. Black,Red and white. I was in the white team. And won on the first round but lost on the second round. We like to thank Martin and Nevi for letting us come to the tennis court to play them, I had a lot of fun been there.
