Hauora Follow Up - Calvin and Sylis

Today I have being working on a Hauora DLO with Rachel Sylis. We have being talking about the 4 walls of the whare tapaha. The 4 walls are called taha tinana,taha whanau,taha wairua, and taha hinengaro. At the end we had to make a slide about feeling each others pulse, And a DLO about our heart rates.

DTR and the Warriors

DTR and the Warriors came to our school to talk about our health and well being. it also linked to the 4 walls and (hauora). We talked about hydrogen because that is what make them have energy have water". Some of our school students one prizes. Our prizes were T shirts, a warriors bottle, and a warriors bag.  And well done to the people who got them. We all had fun and learnt new things. I learnt that when they are playing rugby on the field they run for 40 or 80 minutes. We thank all the people that came like Ryan Hoffman, John Palavi, Georgia and DTR Alice. At the end we played an activity called true or false. If we pick it wrong we have to sit down.

This is a main idea work that I have made. They talk about all the muscles that are round your body. Did you know that there are mostly 640 muscles in your body. All those muscles help you move your body.

Yr 7 & Yr 8 - Long jump

This week we did long jump. We focused on bending our legs and when we are ready to jump we have to put our legs apart. After making sure it is ready we have to put our hands together so we can jump probably.

Today and Yesterday I have being working on a activity with my buddy Liam. We worked on how Olympic people do the the Challenges. We saw photo's and we Attributed them. Me Liam worked hard just to finish this

Current Events

Today I have being working on current events activity. We had to go and watch an video so we could get information about what happen to Nikki Hamblin. After looking at the video we had to put the information in the boxes. The information we had to find from the news was really interesting to find. They were invited to the finals but they were not feeling good because of there injury. We thank the American lady for helping our kiwi runner win the Olympic sports    

Yr 7 & Yr 8 Art

Today and yesterday half of the class went to netball and half stayed to do art. We only stayed with Mrs Anderson because Mrs Naicker had to go to netball with the other half. When we first started we had to create a plan so we can print our silhouette. After we plan our silhouette we had to get out a piece of paper so we can put shapes on. We could do it any style we want. After doing our shapes we had to get a wight piece of paper so we can trace our shapes on to it. We all worked as a team so we could help each other finish. When we had done we had to take a picture so we could put it on our blogs.

 

Olympic Campariso

Today I have being working on an DLO that compares about the olympic stadium. These pictures show the 2008 and 2016 photo's. It took me a very long time to find the same image for my DLO.

Run jump throw DLO

Today yr7 and yr8 did run jump throw. Our instructor was Andy. before we ran we played a game of octopus so we could warm up. After playing she showed us an example how they run in the Olympics. Before we ran we had to do these introductions for On your marks set go!! if you were running have to look straight. Next we had to put our legs at the back of the line so we. Next we had to put our hands behind the opposite leg that's behind the our body. After that we had to bend our legs so we could run faster. When she said go we ran as fast as we could.      

Ordering number activity

This is my ordering numbers activity that I did for maths. As you can see my high score was 13441,69823,66701, these scores are not that bad for a start. It was easy and fun to play and even learn your biggest to smallest or opposite.

For inquiry I have being working on a DLO with my buddy Liam. We both found information so we could put on our work. These information are interesting and probably important. These information could be found in Wikipedia or Wikimedia. Me and Liam tried and work hard to finish it.    

NZ OLYMPICS

Today I created a DLO that represents the Olympic game. We first had to come up with a plan before we did this. This is a really big excitement because we want to see if they would do the Olympic games on tv. we had to search for these images and put them on our drawing. This was a exiting to do and a lot of hard work done.

Hoverbike

Today I have being working on this Hover bike poster. We had try and find a fake hover bike so we could put it in the drawing. After bringing the photo we had to put the title in for hover bike. We had to watch a little clip before we did this. This was easy to do but hard work.

I know that if dad's not at his daughter's game she wins because

Today I have being working on a reading activity called sports dad. I did not do this alone I did this with a group. We had to read the book back to back or together or take turns. After reading we had to go on a Google document so we could work on this. To me I really felt exited because we could put our own information in the 3 boxes.

I really enjoyed working with my group and with Mrs Naicker.

Ancient and modern Olympics

Today we were working and searching about the ancient modern Olympics. I have being working hard with my buddy Liam we both worked and searched together and completed our work. This was a really fun and interesting activity.  

Quizziz

Today we were playing a special game called quizziz. it is actually a maths game Its really fun to play and you could know your time tables up to 1 times tables to 12 timetables. Each of us came 1st -2nd-3rd- it was fun and we enjoyed it
