Hundertwasser DLO
On Wednesday Ls2 was working on a DLO about the Hundertwasser. The DLO talked about Hundertwasser's life times about his art work and facts and when he was born and when he died. I worked together on this with my partner Lyndon so we could research things about him.
Art - Hundertwasser
Yesterday LS2 were doing art that was about the Hundertwasser art drawing. We had to choose carefully of what we were going to draw. When we looked at the photos of his art so we could see the examples of what he used to colour his art. The art we did didin't have to have straight lines because we noticed in his drawing that some didn't.

Jean Batten & Manfred Von Richthofen
Today I have being working on timelines that tells about the lives of people that were famous and that flew across the world. We all started of with a time line about Jean batten. I worked together with my buddy Fifita, we were searching a lot of facts about Her. I learnt Jean Batten became famous for flying an air plane across the world. And she was named after the Auckland airport. The plane she flew and the statue of her is inside the airport, After doing that timeline Fifita and I worked on another person called Manfred Von Richthofen. He was in the war and died in 1918 age 28. He got shot from this person called Captain Arthur Roy Bron. This looked interesting and a lot of researching done.

Yr 7 leadership
Today Yr 7 were working together on a DLO that is all about leadership. We all had to do an activity to see our collaboration and team work, Mrs Anderson gave us 5 or 4 rubber bands to each group so we could pick the cups up without touching it with our fingers or hands. We managed to do it but some people touched the cup and was honest about it.

How to make a paperplane
How to Make a Paper Plane
Materials needed - Equipment
A-4 paper
Step 1 - Fold the paper in half
Step 2 - Fold the top corner to meet the centers
Step 3 - Fold the down point
Step 4 - Fold the new corners
Step 5 - Fold up the point that has being covered from the previous step so that - Secure the flaps against the crease.
Step 6 - Fold the paper in half along the original center fold. All the folds made in the previous steps should be facing outwards. The small triangular fold is now along what will later be at the bottom of the plane.
Step 7 - Create the wings. Fold both side flaps down to the bottom. That main centre folds the line so that the long edge of the wings are perfectly angled with the bottom of the airplane.
Step - 8 Angle the wings: Unfold the wings slightly so that they are perpendicular to the body of the airplane and form a flat surface next to each other.
You're done !!! Test fly your airplane. Start with a gentle toss to see how your plane glides through the air. Experiment with more aggressive throws to see how high and far your plane will travel.
This is what your Paper Plane should look Like
Reminder:
You can do this again if you get it wrong
Today I have made a DLO of how to make a paper plane. I watched the video carefully to see what I could put on on the document. I put a picture of my paper plane to see what your paper plane looks like.

Paper planes
Today LS2 have being working on paper planes. Our goal was to see the person that threw the longest. We had to be in groups so we can make our paper planes together and test them to see witch one were the best. at the end we had to put the people that threw the best in the middle of the classroom so they could have a clear throw. The best throw in LS2 was Thomas's team because it went the furthest all the way to the other side of the classroom. We all had a lot of fun making our paper planes and throwing them around the classroom

DLO migration
Today my group, Nazella and Oh Hsen worked on a DLO about Godwit migration. We used a digital sketchnote to get us started with our information. We had a couple of specific question, we had to narrow our search and, only use keywords to get out answer. There is some good information and facts that you might want to know about them.
