Character introduction

Today I have been creating this DLO about the Character Introduction for the Princess Bride. I used a google slide to create it. Each slide has a character and explains a bit about their role in the movie.

Exploring elections

This morning LS2 were learning about what a coalition and how will the coalition with NZ first affect the results.

What we had to do

We had to create a DLO about our learning about a Coalition and had to type down what is a coalition, who is our local MP, 

and how will the coalition with NZ First Affect The Result.

Read an EBOOK day

 Since it is the 18th of September, we have been reminded that reading is really important and that it would help us with our reading skills. Ls2 got to use a really cool site that is called read an Ebook day from the Tamaki overdrive. I read a really intresting book called the Injustice gods among us. It is a very fascinating comic book and I hope to read more about it soon. Also I can read in my own time because there are heaps of other exiting comic or more books to read.  

Shot types - DLO

Today I have created a DLO that shows what kind of shot types there are. They are involved in movies,E.P and others. My favourite type of a angle is a eye level because I now a bad thing is going to happen. My example is from the back to the future.

Tech New rotation

Today was the second week of our new rotation. Our tech teacher Mr Grundy got us to cut glass with this material that is called diamantor. Mr Grundy taught us some really important things that we should not do with glass. One of them is not to wipe glass of the table with your hands. Then he taught us how to cut glass with the diamantor. He said. You need to push your hand hard with the diamantor onto the glass to break it, but you can use a ruler to keep the cut straight. I tried and it was really difficult to do

Cyber Smart

Today we had learnt how to be cyber smart on digital devices. We had to write down lists on what not to do. I have seen adds that says to click on it because we would win a million dollars, but luckily I have not been interested in them. I also learnt not to give your password,email,phone number, credit card number and your home address to any stranger around because it could lead to serious danger and also scams.    

Year 8 at Tamaki College

Today the Year 8's went to tech like we always do, then at 10:50 the year 7 and the teachers went back to school and we stayed Tamaki College to experience what college feels like. We had a lot of fun with the teachers there. My favourite activities were PE and Science because in PE we could cooperate and work as a team, and in science the teacher showed us really cool things about static electricity like how to bend water with rubber. Thank you to all the people that made us welcome at Tamaki College.
